Typography and Legibility

Font Structure

I found that Jonathan Hoefler’s documentary episode on typography

Legibility

When looking into how I could make my font more legible I decided to research how my typeface could be modified to improve the legibility for people with dyslexia. In my research I red that sans serif fonts that use a mix between uppercase and lowercase weights help with legibility problems.

I also found that fonts with a more simple form are easier to read, comic sans is an example of this for it’s simple form and almost handwritten quality becomes instantly more recognisable.

To accommodate to people with different abilities I have added a lowercase version of my initial font.
