FMP Concept (Updated March 17th)
For my project I wanted to base my graphical problem on my personal experience with the Helsinki Transit System and how it can be difficult to traverse the city if you are Foreign or not local to Helsinki.
I found that the Tram Service gave me the most problems since there were no maps or indications that showed where each Tram line went.
I feel that I could make a design system that would be easy for people to traverse the trams using an actual visual aid (map) that would indicate where stations were and where specific lines went.
I will be looking into how I can link pictograms and typography to the system to make it as easy as possible for foreigners or people with dyslexia to use the tram map.
My end result would be to create a Standards Manual that will include; a brand redesign, map concepts, colour swatches, pictograms and some mockup results.
